The Old Hall, as the estate is known, is set in the beautiful Shropshire village of Lilleshall, 4 miles from the town of Newport and 7 miles from Telford. The grounds at Lilleshall are a particular delight.
The Properties
The estate consists of 32 one-bedroomed self-contained apartments and 5 first floor apartments in the main hall. All first floor apartments are accessed by a flight of stairs. All the apartments have their own front doors and all are set in a picturesque location. We currently have a programme of upgrading the kitchens in our apartments and a number of apartments have assisted entry systems within their bathrooms.
Facilities and Activities
The Scheme Manager (warden) and Maintenance Manager work onsite from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and there is a 24 hour community alarm service. There is a communal lounge with regular activities, organised by the Residents Committee, such as bingo, coffee mornings, fish and chip lunches, a laundry, gardens and allotments.
Local Amenities
There is a bus stop 200 yards away, and there are shops and post office in the next-door village of Muxton. The local GP practise is 2 miles away.
